Getting Around

Traveling to and around Albany is both convenient and enjoyable.

Located at the crossroads of the Northeast, the Capital Region is accessible by major expressways, well-maintained rural thoroughfares, and modern transportation services.

The New York State Thruway, Adirondack Northway, Taconic Parkway, and Interstate 88 all converge in the region.

The Albany International Airport is serviced by major carriers.

Amtrak trains arrive daily at regional depots, and both national and regional bus services are available. Once you arrive in Albany, major highways connect regional communities and points of interest with easy to follow signs to direct you to wherever you want to be.
